New features and functionality make SRSR System easier to install and maintain
AMSTERDAM, 30 January, 2007 - Demonstrating its commitment to providing custom residential integrators with highly versatile enclosures and timesaving cable management solutions, Middle Atlantic Products today debuted new features for its SRSR Series Rotating Sliding Rail System at ISE 2007. Ideal for any size AV system housed in an in-wall, cabinet or custom millwork enclosure, SRSR models now include new features that further simplify installation and rear cable access.
The SRSR System now features the ability to lock in the extended position, preventing the rack frame from retracting during installation and servicing. With locking points at 0°, 60° and 90° positions, the SRSR affords integrators simplified equipment integration as well as improved rear cable access.
"The SRSR's ability to lock in the extended position is a simple solution that solves a very common problem for custom residential integrators," said Stephen Fried, Manager of International Sales, Middle Atlantic Products. "With the SRSR, it is no longer necessary to hassle with a rack frame that won't stay open. While the rack frame is in the 'open' position, integrators can quickly pivot it to a position that affords the easiest access to the rear of components. These new features make the SRSR a very convenient and versatile enclosure for any small to mid-size AV system."
The recently added 25 to 30 space models join the 12 to 24 space models in the series, affording integrators more vertical range when installing AV systems. SRSR models also include a number of features that greatly expedite the installation process, including: a removable rack frame for in-shop integration and on-site installation; an integral self-centering base for simple system alignment within a cabinet opening; easily accessible mounting holes that allow preliminary mounting with the system in the closed position; and rackrail marked in rackspace increments for easy equipment alignment.
In addition, new 17' brush gaskets are now available for all SRSR models. Designed to give retrofits a clean, finished look, these new brush gaskets help close gaps between an enclosure and millwork.
Available with 19" or 23" of useable depth, the SRSR System is an EIA-compliant system that can accommodate up to a maximum 300 pounds of equipment.
