The UQFP's are perfectly suited for production broadcast environments, where the equipment, microphones, engineers and on-air talent are often located in the same room.
FAIRFIELD, NEW JERSEY, November 7, 2007 - Ideal for applications where heat-generating digital broadcast equipment is co-located with microphones, engineers and on-air talent, Middle Atlantic Products' Ultra Quiet Fan Panels (UQFP) provide advanced thermal management coupled with quiet operation. The UQFP enables broadcast facilities to more effectively utilize thermal management solutions throughout their furniture and enclosure systems, while reducing the overall ambient noise of the components to prevent interference with on-air broadcasts.
"Because many broadcast facilities operate in small studios where the equipment is within arm's length of the engineers and on-air personalities, there is a demand for enclosures and furniture systems that not only maximize space while addressing thermal management issues, but also keep the overall noise level of these components to a minimum," said David Amoscato, Broadcast Sales Manager, Middle Atlantic Products.
In addition to its intelligent proportional fan speed functionality, the Ultra Quiet Fan Panel's smart integral notification system provides local and remote alerts when high heat levels occur or if a fan stops operating. The UQFP features an alphanumeric display screen that shows the enclosure's temperature and also provides instant scrolling fan failure or over-temperature alert messages.
Middle Atlantic Products UQFP's occupy two rackspaces and feature a choice of two or four ultra quiet fans that never emit more than 27 dB of noise. With an intelligent digital processor that varies fan speed proportionate to internal cabinet temperature and a remote notification system that indicates fan failure or overheating, broadcast facilities can now monitor fan performance regularly, troubleshoot easier and address excessive heat before it becomes a problem.
