Fairfield, NJ––Middle Atlantic Products is introducing new options for the popular “Slim 5” series equipment racks that give
Residential system integrators new solutions for a variety of installation challenges. This new level of versatility opens up many
new applications for discerning clients who want reliable systems in even the most prominent locations.
The most visible change is the addition of new top and side panel options. These panels feature sculpted, user-friendly edges and
make use of a tough new surface material for years of attractive service. With top and side panels in place, “Slim 5” racks are at
home in any visible setting, from residential installations to boardroom environments. The side panels are available in new wood
grain colors including dark cherry, honey maple, and light walnut.
There are also functional improvements in three key areas. The design of the rack frame has been updated with improved cable management features. Also, the rack top has been updated to include two fan knockouts, and there is a new optional fan kit that
includes fans, guards, and hardware to provide a complete active thermal solution. And lastly, there is a new low-profile,
low-friction runner kit that lets a loaded Slim 5 series rack easily slide in and out of residential furniture and cabinetry.
Each of these improvements was developed to solve specific residential room installation challenges, and together they reflect the company’s continuing commitment to support the custom residential electronics market with products that look great and provide industry-leading functionality.
