Custom
Rackshelves
Q: What is the part number for a custom rackshelf?
A: Custom rackshelves have three different part numbers: RSH4A for anodized finish, RSH4C for
silver anodized finish, and RSH4S for textured finish. For all three it is necessary to
include the make & model of the component you wish to be mounted on the shelf.
Q: What is the lead-time for custom rackshelves?
A: If Middle Atlantic Products has the dimensions of your component on file, it usually takes 2 business days or less to manufacture the custom shelf.
Q: How can I find out if Middle Atlantic Products
has my component on file?
A: Visit http://www2.middleatlantic.com/RSH/mainRSH.asp
to search our measured
component database.
Q: What if Middle Atlantic Products doesn’t have my component
on file?
A: Send the unit to Middle Atlantic Products to be measured. This is the preferred
method and the only way that Middle Atlantic Products will guarantee that it will fit.
Otherwise, you can measure the component and fax or e-mail the dimensions to us. The instructions
and form are available in the master catalog and on our web site at
www.middleatlantic.com
. The dimensions provided in the components owners’
manual may not be correct and it is advised to measure carefully as RSH units are custom-made
and are not returnable.
Q: Why does Middle Atlantic Products sometimes send a separate
face and shelf when I order an RSH?
A: When a face (part # AFACE, CFACE, or SFACE) and shelf (part # WUSS) are sent separately
this is because the width of the component is wider than what will fit on a standard shelf.
In place of the standard shelf (17.375”), a wider shelf (part # WUSS) is sent.
The WUSS (Wide Unit Shelf System) has been specially designed to bolt on to the mounting
angle of our standard rackrail. This allows you to mount components up to 22.5” wide.
For the cleanest possible look it’s best if the unit is under 17.73” wide,
otherwise it will have to sit behind the rackrail face.
Q: I faxed dimensions with my last order why hasn’t
Middle Atlantic added this unit to the database?
A: Middle Atlantic Products will only add a unit to our measured component database if we
measure it ourselves to ensure accuracy.
